Stormtrooper Premium Format Figure

This time Toys and Hobbies bring you another Premium Format Figure line from Sideshow Collectibles that you can Preorder today. I bet that you already knew this thing from the title and if you have seen the picture. Almost people should have known about Star Wars, it is a science fiction franchise comprised of movies, books, comics, video games, and animated shows. It is a fictional universe created by George Lucas first in 1977. The Star Wars story employs archetypal motifs common to science fiction, political climax and classical mythology, as well as musical motifs of those aspects.

Well the thing that I share now is not the hero, it is the Stormtroopers. Soldiers unswervingly loyal to the Emperor, stormtroopers represented the most visible extension of Imperial might. They were shock troopers meant to strike with speed and accuracy, putting down insurrections and maintaining order on the farflung worlds of the Empire. Stormtroopers served both the ground-based armies of Palpatine's forces, and the space-based Imperial starfleet.

Stormtrooper training stressed complete indoctrination in the tenets of the New Order, and individuals would obey their officers without question, without regard to the rights of others or even to their own safety. Stormtroopers abandoned individuality in exchange for their loyalty. They are completely encased in a white armored spacesuit shell, and are armed with blaster pistols or blaster rifles. Their helmets contain comlinks for long-range communications. Officers were denoted with colored shoulder pauldrons. Specific environments called for specially trained and equipped stormtroopers, such as the snowtroopers that besieged the ice world of Hoth and the lightly-armored scout trooper that patrolled the forests of Endor.

The Stormtrooper Premium Format Figure captures every detail of the iconic armored soldiers from the original 'Star Wars' film, A New Hope. Each piece is individually painted and finished, each with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. Crafted in 1:4 scale, this dynamic figure features a real fabric bodysuit and hand-cast trooper armor. The Stormtrooper Premium Format Figure is the perfect addition to any Star Wars display. Dr. Xavier recruited Piotr to a new team of X-Men and named him 'Colossus', and together with the other new members, The Colossus freed the original X-Men from captivity on the island of Krakoa. Bowen Marvel Professor X Statue

Charles Francis Xavier was born the son of nuclear researcher Brian Xavier and his wife, Sharon. A cruel and spiteful boy, he bullied his new stepbrother. As punishment, his father secretly beat him - and young Charles felt his sibling's pain firsthand thanks to the emergence of his mutant telepathic powers. Following their mother’s death, a fire in the family home took Kurt’s life, leaving the stepbrothers alone. By the time he graduated high school, Charles was completely bald as a side effect of his mutant nature. He entered Bard College in New York at age 16 and earned his bachelor's degree in biology within two years.

He was then accepted into the graduate-studies program at England's prestigious Oxford University, where he earned degrees in genetics and biophysics. There, Charles met and fell in love with a young Scotswoman named Moira Kinross. Their passionate discussions on the subject of genetic mutation gave way to romance, and they planned to marry. Their only obstacle was Moira's former boyfriend, Joe MacTaggert, a lance corporal in the Royal Marines and a bully, just like Cain. In Joe's eyes, Charles was a good-for-nothing intellectual, so Charles enlisted in the military after completing his studies at Oxford to validate himself in terms his rival would understand.

Charles Xavier has a dream where Mutants and Humans live together in perfect harmony and peace, as equals. His long-time friend, Magnus does not believe this is possible. Professor used his family's fortune to build a school for the ever-growing mutant community, to teach them to use their new found powers safely and with responsibility. In order to fight for the dream he believes to be the future, Charles put together his team of X-Men, named not for Xavier's moniker, but for the gene in Mutant DNA that enables them to have their powers. Alongside his X-Men, he strives to defend and protect the humans that would otherwise be targets of more violent factions of mutant-kind.

Born with psychic abilities, he is arguably the most powerful telepath on the planet, often sending out the psychic call to the team: To Me My X-Men! Charles has powers such as telepathy: able to read minds and project his own thoughts into the minds of others within a radius of 250 miles (on Earth). With extreme effort he can greatly extend that radius. When synced with Cerebro, he can connect to every mind on a planet. Whether or not this also relates to all sentient lifeforms or specifically with Humans and Mutants is not known. After he was thrown into the M'Kraan Crystal, it not only restored his mutation, but made his telepathy more powerful than it has been previously, thereby making him the world's most powerful telepath once again. There are still much more ability that he possessed.

The Professor X statue is sculpted by Khurram Alavi and stands just over 12" tall. It is the best statue for Marvel collector especialy the X-Men family because he is the founder and the leader of X-Men. Electric Tiki Buzz Lightyear Statue

"To infinity ... and beyond!" I knew you remembered this catchphrase from Buzz Lightyear, who has to be as Woody's partner. Toy Story are not completed if they were just An Electric Tiki Woody Statue, therefore Toys and Hobbies presents the latest statue in their Classic Heroes Collection, Electric Tiki Buzz Lightyear Statue. He first appeared in 1995 in the Disney/Pixar classic Toy Story as the Space Ranger toy who thought he was an actual Space Ranger. Surrounded by other classic toys included a old fashioned cowboy named Woody, Buzz eventually realized the value of being part of a child's life.

Buzz Lightyear is a space ranger from the Intergalactic Alliance and is stationed in the Gamma Quadrant of Sector 4. He is the captain of the Alliance's Team. Lightyear is known for his bravery and courage. Buzz believes that following rules is the way people should live their life. Though a great leader, at times he can be rather unemotional, one of his biggest character flaws. Buzz is trained in several forms of martial arts and is a highly skilled warrior in hand to hand combat. Being in peak physical condition, Buzz makes a perfect space ranger and is an example to many.

Buzz Lightyear wears a high-tech space suit, similar to those of modern-day astronauts though more streamlined and iconic. The suit chest features a control panel. On the left hand side of the suit, a large red button activates the suit's flight system. The buttons on the right of the suit have numerous functions such as contacting Star Command, shooting grappling hooks, and activating full throttle. Buzz's suit also protects against the vacuum and cold of space. It can also translate all he says into any language even an outer space dialect. If he activated the retractable helmet, His head will be covered and allows him to breathe in space or on planets lacking a sufficient supply of oxygen. The left arm of the suit has a panel that flips open to reveal a display that contains a mission log in the wrist area to record history and provide records. The right arm contains the weapon system which projects an unusually strong and powerful red-colored laser out of the small cannon on the back of the wrist. Buzz has a utility belt as an upgrade to suit. It has various things such as anti-gravity servos, magnets for climbing purposes, and a grappling hook.

This statue Standing 9" high atop a 2 1/2" base (inspired by classic building blocks), Electric Tiki Buzz Lightyear statue was created from digital data files from the actual film. Buzz Lightyear is also in scale to the companion Classic Heroes Woody statue too!  Extremely limited to initial orders, Buzz is the perfect addition to any collection. Electric Tiki Woody statue

Do you still remember Toy Story? it is an American computer-animated movie released by Walt Disney Pictures in 1995. It is Pixar's first feature film as well as the first ever feature film to be made entirely with CGI. Toy Story follows a group of toys who pretend to be lifeless whenever humans are present, and focuses on Woody, a pull-string cowboy doll (Hanks), and Buzz Lightyear, an astronaut action figure (Allen). The film was so successful it prompted a sequel released in 1999, Toy Story 2. Eleven years later, on June 18, 2010, an additional film, Toy Story 3, was also released.

Now, Electric Tiki proudly continues their Classic Heroes Collection with Woody, the wooden toy who first charmed audiences in the Disney/Pixar classic Toy Story! Woody is an old-fashioned pull-string cowboy doll. The voice-box that is activated by the pull-string says many simple phrases such as "Reach for the sky!", "You're my favorite deputy!" and "There's a snake in my boot!". In Toy Story 2, his construction includes an "original hand-painted face, natural dyed-blanket stitched vest, and hand-stitched poly-vinyl hat." Woody wears an empty gun holster at his belt. He is Andy's favorite toy since kindergarten, with a special spot on the bed, and is the leader of the toys in Andy's room. In Toy Story 2 it is revealed that he is based on the main character from a popular 1950s TV show, Woody's Roundup.

In the three films, Woody makes two strong friendships with Buzz and Jessie. At first, however, when Buzz temporarily became Andy's favorite toy, he tried to push him off the dresser but accidentally knocked him out the window. When Sid had them, however, he and Buzz worked together to escape. Since then, he and Buzz are very close and care deeply about each other and will do anything for each other. Even though he and Jessie argue with each other sometimes, they are still very close friends.

Although he has been deemed the boss in Andy's room, Woody is somewhat of a flawed character as seen in all three movies, as he has random bouts of jealousy, anger, frustration, and feelings of inadequacy regarding his role many times. These emotions often arise out of his frustration of being an immortal toy adjusting to his human owner aging.

This statue stand at 12 inches tall atop a 2.5 inch base (inspired by classic building blocks), Electric Tiki's Woody statue was created from digital data files from the actual film. Woody is also in scale with the companion Classic Heroes Buzz Lightyear statue.  Extremely limited to initial orders, Woody is the perfect addition to any collection. Gambit Fine Art Statue by Kotobukiya

Still in toys on the form of statue, I would like to share about another great marvel characters. I've written a post about the front-line of X-Men, Cylops Modern Statue. This time I show you about one of the members of the X-Men, he is Gambit. For those who followed the comics and televisions series of X-Men,, should be familiar with this gambler. Well this product is called Gambit Fine Art Statue by Kotobukiya.

Next up in the amazing X-Men Danger Room Sessions Fine Art Statue series is the renowned Cajun thief and mutant hero GAMBIT!  Born Remy Etienne LeBeau in New Orleans and kidnapped into the Thieves' Guild, Gambit had to grow up tough and clever.  Of course, his mutant powers also helped; he is able to charge objects with bio-kinetic energy.  Gambit keeps an array of items with him that he can use in battle, but his signature weapons are his staff and a seemingly endless supply of playing cards.  Despite, or because of, his troubled past and occasional relapses, Remy is one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe and an X-Man in good standing.  Being a member of the team means that Gambit has seen his fair share of training exercises in the Danger Room.

Ever since the early days of Marvel Comics' mutant adventures, "X" teams have trained together in the ultra high tech facility known as the Danger Room, equipped with state of the art adaptive combat and athletics routines that challenge each participant in unique ways.  The training facility has been featured prominently in X-Men comics over the years, as well as in various cartoons and the third X-Men film.

Always confident in the face of overwhelming odds, Gambit shows he's ready for action in the midst of a particularly harrowing training session. Garbed in his unique metallic blue, purple, and silver costume, the X-Men stands tall in a battle-ready stance with his signature brown overcoat whipping in the air behind him.  Gambit carries his two favorite weapons with his bo staff in his right hand and a trio of playing cards fully energized (via a stunning translucent pink effect) in his left.  The mutant hero's sculpt is top notch, bringing to life every element of his clothing and his athletic physique.  Gambit's wild hair erupts from the top of his open-faced cowl, while his face captures the character's devil may care smile perfectly.

Sculpted by Erick Sosa, the "Ragin' Cajun" stands 11 inches tall, in perfect 1/6th scale. Gambit is poised on a unique Danger Room holographic environment base. Actualy this is my favorite character. If you are interestid with this statu, be sure to pre order this item before it's released time. Please go to 1999 Hobby Search for further information.

Cyclops Modern Statue

I love X-Men, of course I also like almost all the superheroes characters from the Marvel Comics. That is why Toys and hobbies blog will discuss each member of the X-Men figures soon enough and will start from the front line leader of the X-Men. We know that Scott Summers has been at the forefront of the battle for mutant equality and to save humanity from the depredations of evil mutants from the first day of X-Men. Now the heir to Professor Xavier's vision of a world where humankind and mutantkind can live together in peace, Summers leads the X-Men as Cyclops, It is because of the ruby-red visor he must wear to keep his mutant power from the concussive energy shot from his eyes.

When he still young, Scott Summers endured a traumatic head injury after his family's plane fall down. Only Scott and his brother Alex survived the crash, and as a findings, Scott was unable to control his mutant powers himself. Because the death of their parents, The two boys was separated. Alex was adopted, but Scott remained comatose in a hospital for a year. Scott found himself was placed in an orphanage in Omaha, Nebraska, which was secretly controlled by his future enemy - the evil geneticist Mister Sinister.

Eventually, a teenage Scott came into the foster care of Jack Winters, a mutant criminal known as the Jack O'Diamonds. After Scott began to suffer from severe headaches, he found out that lenses made of ruby quartz can solve the problem. Soon after, Scott's mutant power first erupted from his eyes as an uncontrollable blast of optic force. The blast demolished a crane, causing it to drop its payload toward a terrified crowd. Scott saved lives by obliterating the object with another blast, but believed he had tried to kill them, bystanders rallied into an angry mob, and Scott was forced to flee.

Winters sought to use Scott's newfound talent in his crimes and abused the boy when he initially refused. However, Scott's display of power had attracted the attention of the mutant telepath Professor Charles Xavier, who teamed up with F.B.I. agent Fred Duncan to find Scott. Scott was rescued from Winters' clutches and enlisted by Xavier as the first member of his newly formed team of young mutants whose mission was to bring about human/mutant equality. Becoming known as Cyclops, Scott was made deputy leader of the team - the X-Men.

Cyclops possesses the mutant ability to project a beam of concussive, ruby-colored force from his eyes. Cyclops's eyes are no longer the complex organic jelly that utilizes the visible spectrum of light to see the world around it. Instead, they are inter-dimensional apertures between this universe and another, non-Einsteinian universe, where physical laws as we know them do not pertain.

This non-Einsteinian universe is filled with particles that resemble photons, yet they interact with this universe's particles by transferring kinetic energy in the form of gravitons (the particle of gravitation). These particles generate great, directional concussive force when they interact with the objects of this universe.

Bowen Designs presents this Cyclops Modern statue standing approximately 12 inches tall. This classic marvel statue is sculpted by Khurram Alavi (digital sculpture). These high-quality, detailed collectibles feature your favorite Marvel characters as they appear in a wide range of comics. The Cyclops Modern Statue is sculpted here in great detail, intricately crafted and cast in heavyweight polystone. This museum quality collectible is the perfect addition to any Marvel collection!

Thor Modern Museum Statue

As in the previous post about the Black Spider-man Legendary Scale Bust, this time I will review about the Bowen Statue which will be released in September 2011. Actualy statue has an awesome details if you compare it with action figure. Do not tell me you do not know about Thor. Yes we all know Thor is one of the Greek mythology who was appointed as one of the Marvel Superheroes characters. Inspired by the Norse God of Thunder, Thor made his first appearance in "Journey Into Mystery" #83 in 1962. The cover boldly proclaimed him as "The most exciting superhero of all time!!" With the success of the initial short story features, the book was aptly renamed "The Mighty Thor."

Thor wields Mjolnir, a hammer forged from uru metal. Mjolnir itself is already extremely durable and, combined with the various enchantments placed upon it by Odin, is even more resistant to damage. Mjolnir also grants Thor a number of other mystical attributes. Weather Control, Energy Absorption, Flight, Teleportation, and a Worthiness Enchantment: This enchantment surrounding Mjolnir prevents it from being wielded by anyone save those who have been found worthy.

Ages ago, Odin lord of the gods of Asgard desired a child of both Asgard and Midgard (Earth), and therefore sought out and wooed Gaea, the eldest goddess of the Earth. Gaea gave birth to Thor in a small cave in Norway, and Odin took him to be raised in Asgard.

Although Thor continued to perform many acts of battle and adventure, he unfortunately grew headstrong, proud, and selfish. It pained the heart of Odin. One day, Thor chased a monster into the land of the Frost Giants, a breach of protocol that nearly sparked a war in all of Asgard. Odin had to teach Thor a lesson. He created a mortal body for him, one with a lame leg, and sent Thor, stripped of his powers and memories, to Earth. Thor arrived on the campus of New York State College of Medicine as Donald Blake. Blake proved to be the humble and patient man Odin had hoped for. He eventually graduated with top honors, gained a reputation as a caring family doctor and a brilliant surgeon, and opened a private practice in New York City.

This idyllic life was not to last. The alien Kronans were coming to invade. When taking a vacation in Norway, Blake stumbled onto the Kronan scouts’ spaceship and fled into a cave. (It was, unknown to him, the same cave in which Gaea had given birth to Thor.) In a secret chamber, Blake discovered a plain walking cane. Taking it with him, he tried to escape, only to find his way blocked. Frustrated and scared, he struck the boulder with the cane, transforming it into Mjolnir and himself into Thor. He fought the alien scouts, who retreated from Earth and called off their invasion. By tapping the ground with Mjolnir, he transformed back into Don Blake, holding a simple wooden cane.

Blake returned to New York, using his secret identity of Thor to fight crime, defend Earth, and contend with Loki, who, after learning of Thor’s return, felt all the old jealousy and hatred, plaguing Thor with many tricks and outright confrontation. One such trick led Thor and other heroes to fight the Hulk, after which the heroes bested Loki and decided to form the Avengers.
